Forest Park Lodge

Overall, we had a great experience at this property. The house truly feels like a mansion and is an excellent option for a large group. The location is very beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing, especially if you are looking to disconnect and spend quality time together, although there is not much to do nearby. The host was very responsive, communicative, and helpful throughout the stay. However, one challenge for us was the lack of flexibility with check-in and check-out times. Check-in at 5 PM felt quite late, and because the property is so large, following all of the checkout instructions and leaving by 11 AM required a significant amount of time on the last day of the trip. The bedrooms themselves were very nice, but some of the beds were not very comfortable and several people in our group had difficulty sleeping comfortably. The pool area was beautiful, but the water temperature felt colder than expected, Even after requesting a temperature increase and paying the additional fee

This was our second time staying here and will not be the last. The pool area is fantastic especially for kids, large pool and deep with a nice overlook complete water with bar and TV. The house. layout is very convenient as well and DoorDash even can get to you in about 30 mins. Highly recommend.

I booked this for a short spring break trip. The place is nice. The driveway was pot hole city and does need to be filled in. I am the type to pay attention to detail and I noticed baseboard trims missing, cobwebs hanging in the kitchen and living rooms. There were tons of dead wasps around the pool, along with dead bugs in window seals and on the floors (I ran the vacuum when we got there). I felt like the furniture came from Temu (I love temu) but it was cheap and we felt like we were going to break it if we used it. In one of the basement rooms there was paint peeling off the walls, which was also the kid bunk room so I was afraid they were going to pull it and I would be charged for damage. I ended up having additional guests and tried to call, text, and used app to message the host with absolutely no response except an automated one. The pool was missing several safety covers under water and I was worried about toes getting hurt. All mattresses were stained w/ no sheets
